BRISBANE: A grazier using a garden fork has made a palaeontological discovery of world-wide scientific interest.
Mr Ninian Stewart-Moore unearthed a 100 million-year-old fossilised dinosaur skull late last week on his family's 125,000 hectare beef cattle property near Hughenden in north-west Queensland.
The Queensland Minister for the Arts, Mr Austin, said it was the second fossil dinosaur skull found in Australia. Like the first, it was a fossil skull of a muttaburrasaurus, probably the most common Australian herd animal at the time.
